The Brookline community is a great place to live and work and is very supportive of your children and the work we do with them. We’d like to thank the Parks and Open Space Division for the amazing parks throughout town and for their continuous maintenance of the parks. Thanks also to the Public Libraries of Brookline for the children’s programming and especially for programs in multiple family languages. Brookline’s fire fighters welcome the children regularly at the fire stations, allow the children to sit in the fire trucks, and demonstrate how to put on the gear, how to use the equipment and how to stay safe in a fire. Officers Katie and Phil from the Brookline Police Community Services Division visit our schools to discuss how police help the community. We appreciate the support of these town offices.
Many private organizations around town also welcome us regularly and work with us on our curriculum programming. We’d like to recognize Stop and Shop, Puppet Showplace Theater, the Brookline Teen Center, Brookline Dog Grooming, Coolidge Corner Theatre, Magic Beans, Pigs Fly Bakery, Trader Joe’s, Upper Crust Pizza, Albert’s Florist, Kabloom and the Farmers Market for their support.
Programs and projects around town we hope you will consider supporting include:
- The Back of the Sidewalk program, organized by the Parks and Open Space Division, which aims to increase the number and diversity of trees in town by planting public trees on private land. For information, see: https://www.brooklinema.gov/578/Request-a-Street-Tree
- The Brookline Food Pantry: http://www.brooklinefoodpantry.org
Please join us in thanking all of the wonderful people in town that make Brookline such a great place to live and in supporting local community projects. Thanks!
